My neighbor has a vine that came up in her vinca. It has white frilly flowers that bloom at night and close during the day. The leaves are large very fuzzy, slightly serrate and sort of heart shaped. The vine climbs with tendrils and has spread about 15 feet. The flower has 5 petals and is also fuzzy at the base. The flowers remind me almost of a morning glory but frilly.
Any ideas?

If you have a picture it would be more helpful.... but heres a guess.... it could be Trichosanthes ovigera "Japanese Snake Gourd" or some other gourd family.

This sounds like a night blooming Cereus also called 'Moonflower' I recently got a clipping from a friend in Clearwater, FL and am happy to see that it is now growing well.

I believe you have a moon flower - it is a relative of the morning glory.
