In 1999 my husband and I bought our first home out in the country.  No landscaping had been done just a new double wide trailer.  My previous home had the worst yard ever and lots of it.  At that point in my life I hated grass.  I was pretty content with the weeds.  First couple of years we concentrated on building a garage and out building did it all ourselves.  My husband suggested that we put a yard in beside the house.  I told him if he wanted to he could but he was taking care of it himself.

He made me a rake and a large hot water tank to smooth out the ground after we dug it up with the rake.  Then he made me a box spring that pulled behind my tractor, to burry the grass seed.  We bought a riding mower and few attachments and away I went.  I used the pine trees that we didn’t cut down to make the flower beds.  Use the rocks that we got when we dug up the yards for the borders for the flower beds.  Now we don’t have a lot of that green stuff called money so every plant I got, was given to me from someone, or I got out of the wild.  I didn’t care what it was or what it did.  I just started taking everything I could get and now I have a huge variety of plants.

These pictures are of my middle yard.  Right now I have 4 different yards all with flower beds in them.  My favorite part of my yard is the Right Yard.  It has my rose bed in it and two other flower beds.  I keep getting different ideas on how to change things to make them look better.  It’s so exciting.  I really have only just begun.
