I found two flowers in my woods and was wondering if anyone can tell me what they are.
-The first one has pinkish/purple strips through the white petals.
-The second one is yellow with leaves that are green with maroon patchs in them.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
----Happy Flowering----

From your description I'm guessing the one with yellow flower and maroon patched leaves may be a Trout Lily. Large patches of them grow in my woods here in south central Indiana. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erythronium_americanum
