I would like a suggestion for a perennial flower to grow as a border around my house. I want kind of a cottage look but very simple. I would prefer a flower with attractive foliage that isn’t too bright or showy, something subtle and delicate. I live in zone 6, and it would get full sun to part shade. I really prefer cool colors, especially purples, violet, and lavender, but would enjoy white as well as delicate pinks and yellows. A long bloom time would be nice and like I said I really want attractive foliage as well. Something between 12 and 24 in high would be great. I am especially fond of Russian sage, but have never grown it because it seems a bit tall and I don’t think it blooms for long. Fragrance would also be a perk. I know this is a tall order but if anyone could suggest something that even fits most of my description I would love to hear about it. Thank you! - Damselfly
