my mother has this plant that has long vine-like branches with really thick leaves, and every summer, these small bunches of white star shaped flowers with purple centers grow on it. i'm looking for the name of the plant so i can learn more about it. every day a couple of the leaves fall off, and if we don't pick them up before my 17-month old gets his hands on them, he puts them in his mouth. my biggest fear is that they are poisonous or may be harmful to him.

Hi
A photo would really help in this case. Or more description, such as approximate size of flowers, shape of leaves, etc.
I know we recently came across Bittersweet Nightshade in our yard, which were stunning little flowers on climbing vines, but toxic, and invasive. A picture would be the best bet on getting an accurate response. And try to keep the leaves out of the little one's mouth - just in case! (Easier said than done, I know! Our youngest puts EVERYTHING in his mouth!)
