Can anyone help me identify this plant? I've searched all over the internet but no luck. I'm in a rented property and it was in the garden when I got here, so have no idea of it's origins.
It's in full sun and fairly dry, clay soil. Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks, Sophi

Hi
I'm new here. I enjoy looking at the different plants.
I have a question for labouroflove.
Aren't the crososmias invasive? I aquired some in a mixed bag of corms and bulbs. In a couple of years these things took over my flower bed. They grew just under the soil. Soon they were in almost every inch of the bed.

Forgive the delay in my response - I was out of town for a week.
I expect it depends on where you are located. Here in Northern Vermont, it's a challenge to get a large clump going. I know of one person who says she has too many. I always tell her to bring 'em to me: I have yet to have a clump bigger than 6" across.
I do, however, have a client with a clump about 3' in diameter. It gets a little larger each year around the edges, but is not underground-invasive.
