Feel Good Flowers

We all understand the concept of buying, sending or receiving flowers but do we give much attention to where the flowers come from or how nice the arrangements are?

We all attend church, synagogues, mosques or other religious institution where most of us give our charity.  So what if you could do all of that under one roof…give flowers and charity under one unbrella organization where giving would take on a unique and diverse flavour!   A fresh face on flowers!!

Okay…it’s your mom’s birthday or your sister’s graduation….they hope someone is giving them flowers but will be surprised even if their wish is granted.  You want to buy flowers so you look in the local business directory.  You see something that catches your eye.  Give flowers and charity at the same time….

It seems too good to be true… but isn’t!!  Giving from your heart never felt so good!  A project that was catapulted into international stardom on the world wide web just for that reason.  It seems easy enough though….and it is.  Give flowers….money goes to charity.  Couldn’t be easier….

These good feelings are generated from an organization called "Charity Flowers". This is something that offers a service (buying floral arrangments), makes someone happy (the recipient of the bouquet) but gives some (or all) of the profits to certain charities.

In the UK there are 170 charities that benefit from these types of floral purchases.
Charity Flowers is a brilliant idea that has been borrowed by many charities worldwide.  It is win/win situation.  People feel good when they buy flowers for someone and the person getting the flowers feels good and everyone feels good that some of the profits goes to charity.

Such a positive way to raise money. Charities that benefit from Charity Flowers are organizations such as:  CARE, American Red Cross, Girls on the Run and Amnesty International just to name a few.

The project is possible due to the cooperation of a lot of people but especially "Organic Bouquet" (the leading online organic florist) and "Network for Good" (the website where you can donate money (online) to any charity in the world).

But that’s not all…..the flowers are chosen from among the finest and from growers who are committed to the highest social and environmental standards.  The flowers used are bought from companies that use practices that aim to improve the quality of farm working conditions, enhance environmental quality for future generations and which doesn’t damage the ecosystem.

So, next time you want to give flowers, don’t pick the daisies from your garden.  and  consider all your options but giving to charity at the same time as your floral arrangement makes "scents".
