I am down in Cornwall and found a gorgeous shrub growing in a cultivated setting. It was at least 4 ft high, with similar leaves to an olive in shape but slightly smaller and less tough. It has small sprigs of 4 or 5 vivid blue flowers, a little like small campanulas, each made up of 5 petals. I have a cutting but no idea if it will take and if not would like to acquire it for the garden... any ideas?

Sue,

Hard to make an ID without a photo. You might take a look at this site and see if you spot your shrub.
